
The Board of Director of Sarhad Rural Support Programme is the highest policy making body of the organization. It appoints the Chief Executive Officer and Management and holds them accountable. The Board of Directors of SRSP has in the past been headed by Mr. Azam Khan( Ex Chief Secretary and Interim Chief Minister, Mr. Shoaib Sultan Khan, and Col Alamzeb Khan. The longest serving Chairperson of the Board was MS Munawar Humayun who served as the Chairperson for three decades. During her tenure as Chairperson SRSP saw remarkable growth and expansion.
The last Chairman was Colonel(R) Alamzeb who recently passed away. Mr. Ayaz Khan who was the Vice Chair of SRSP Board is now officiating as the Chairman until the Board elects a permanent Chairman. The Board of SRSP comprises of eminent people from the civil society, development and public sector. All the member of the Board have had a long and illustrious career in public service.
Shoaib Sultan Khan is one of the pioneers of rural development programmes in Pakistan. As a CSP Officer, he worked with the Government of Pakistan for 25 years, later on he served in Geneva based Aga Khan Foundation for 12 years, then UNICEF and UNDP for 14 years. Since his retirement, he has been involved with the Rural Support Programmes (RSPs) of Pakistan full-time, on voluntary basis.
Having more than 45 years of experience in the fields of public sector development and project management, Col (retd) Alam Zeb Khan has worked on various positions of planning, management, and monitoring to bring in improvements and innovations in various departments of Education, Forest, Planning and Development, Power sector development, etc. within the KP.
Our CEO, Mr. Masood Ul Mulk is a leading Pakistani expert on humanitarian aid and a renowned development practitioner who has served in the development field for over 20 years. Having previously served as the regional program manager of Agha Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) as well as being part of the five-member United Nations, government and humanitarian team.
The Board of Directors has Ex Officio Directors from different government agencies sitting on it by invitation of the Board.
