SRSP, in partnership with GIZ, the Local Government Elections and Rural Development Department (LGE&RDD), and the Elementary and Secondary Education Department (E&SE), is implementing the project Enriching Local Governance Through Citizen Participation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The project focuses on improving governance in urban and rural districts, including Swat, Kohat, Khyber, and Mohmand, by fostering citizen participation—particularly women’s involvement—in local decision-making. Include the formation and capacity building of inclusive Parent-Teacher Councils (PTCs), strengthening local councils and their linkages with PTCs, enhancing education sector monitoring, promoting sports for development, establishing women facilitation desks, and organizing women’s Khuli Kacheri (open forums). These efforts aim to improve public service delivery, strengthen school governance, and ensure women’s voices and priorities are integrated into community development.
