
Young Girls with Hearing and Speech Disabilities Take Their First Step into the Virtual World.
For the first time in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a group of 20 young girls with hearing and speech disabilities has been enrolled in a 45-day training course on Amazon Virtual Assistance. Through this specialized training program, the participants will learn digital skills and techniques for online earning. The course has been specially designed to meet their needs and will be delivered in sign language by a trained instructor, ensuring an inclusive and accessible learning environment.
Today, the training workshop was inaugurated by the Honorable Secretary of the Social Welfare, Special Education & Women Empowerment Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Chief Operating Officer of SRSP. The workshop is being organized by SRSP at Model Industrial Home, Hayatabad, in partnership with the Social Welfare Department, with financial support from UNICEF Pakistan, under the project “Social and Economic Inclusion of Poor and Vulnerable Communities.
The project aims to promote the social and economic inclusion of poor and marginalized groups, including women, children, adolescents, and persons with disabilities, by ensuring their access to opportunities, services and active participation in community life.
