#Communities #living in #off-grid area of village #Bella, Union Council #Gwaldai, District #Dir Upper, now have #uninterrupted #power #supply after the #inauguration of a #200-KW #micro-hydro power project.
This micro-hydro project was completed by #SRSP with #financial support from Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF). The power house will benefit approximately #2,400 residents of the village.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior officials, including the Chief Programs Officer #PPAF, #CEO and #COO SRSP, members of the #SRSP‘s Board of Directors, #MNA Dir Upper, #MPA (PK-11), the Deputy Commissioner Dir Upper, and a large number of community .
Additionally, another 200-KW micro-hydro project, jointly established by PPAF and SRSP with financial support from KfW, is supplying electricity to over 5,500 residents across four villages in the valley. Both projects are part of ongoing efforts by SRSP and PPAF to uplift marginalized communities through a participatory development approach.
