The project will provide clean electricity to over 4,044 households, 150 hotels and small businesses, while also cutting 7,200 tons of CO₂ emissions annually. By promoting renewable energy, the project will help tackle climate change and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
In a major move to promote tourism, economic growth and clean energy, SRSP with support from the European Union in Pakistan(EU), has started upgradation and restoring work on a 2.5 MW hydropower project in Thall, Kumrat Valley, Upper Dir. It will also create new business opportunities, strengthen tourism, and promote sustainable economic growth in the region. The event was attended by a large number of local community members, Member of National Assembly, local political leadership, Deputy Commissioner Dir Upper, CEO RSPN, Advisor to SRSP’s Board of Directors, CEO SRSP, COO SRSP and project staff.
