
To build a better future; Youth from the host and Afghan refugee communities successfully completed skills training.
A total of 71 youth from four Afghan refugee-hosting districts participated in and completed a 3-months training in mobile repair, plumbing, and electrical work at SRSP’s Human Resource Development Center.
The training was part of the ‘Improving Resilience and Economic Growth of Vulnerable Afghan Refugees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (IR&EG) Project’ funded by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Pakistan. The project aimed to bring host and Afghan communities #together by encouraging social interaction and boosting economic activities in Afghan-populated areas of #KP.
A #certificate and #toolkit distribution ceremony was held, where Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Industries and Commerce Abdul Karim Khan, CEO SRSP, and a representative from the Commissionerate Afghan Refugees KP presented certificates and toolkits to trainees from Peshawar, Swabi, Nowshera, and Haripur.
