In the district of Swabi, Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP) continues its community-driven development efforts with a presence in 12 out of 56 union councils. The organization has established 12 Community Organizations, consisting of 8 male (MCOs) and 4 female (WCOs), collectively representing 232 households and strengthening grassroots participation. Additionally, SRSP has formed 3 Village Organizations, including 2 male (MVOs) and 1 female (WVOs), to further empower local communities.
To enhance local capacity, SRSP has provided training to 5,810 individuals, comprising 3,398 men and 2,412 women. This includes 4,383 managerial trainees (2,748 men and 1,635 women) and 1,427 vocational trainees (650 men and 777 women), equipping participants with essential skills for leadership and economic opportunities.
In infrastructure development, SRSP has completed 136 community projects, including 133 drinking water supply schemes, 2 sanitation initiatives, and 1 irrigation., with a total investment of PKR 24.27 million. These efforts have directly benefited 1,416 households, improving access to clean water, sanitation, and renewable energy.
