
SRSP has established a strong presence in the Merged District Kurram, operating in 21 of its 23 union councils. The organization has successfully mobilized communities by forming 432 Community Organizations, including 379 Male COs (MCOs) and 53 Female COs (WCOs), representing 9,336 households. Additionally, SRSP has supported the creation of 32 Village Organizations (all Male VOs), along with 5 Local Support Organizations (LSOs), building a structured network for community-led development.
Capacity-building initiatives in Kurram have reached 6,158 individuals through comprehensive training programs. This includes 2,947 managerial trainees (2,200 men and 747 women) and 3,211 vocational trainees (2,838 men and 373 women). These programs focus on strengthening local leadership while creating livelihood opportunities, with particular attention to increasing women’s participation in skill development.
The infrastructure portfolio in Kurram comprises 336 completed Community Physical Infrastructure (CPI) schemes. These include 140 drinking water supply systems, 6 communication projects, 29 irrigation schemes, and 98 sanitation initiatives, representing a substantial investment of PKR 646.39 million. These projects have directly benefited 38,357 households, addressing critical needs in water access, agriculture, and public health.
