In Haripur District, Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP) has achieved comprehensive coverage, operating in all 45 of the district’s union councils. The organization has established a robust network of 1,591 Community Organizations, comprising 885 male (MCOs) and 706 female (WCOs) groups, representing 37,376 households and demonstrating significant progress in grassroots mobilization.
At the village level, SRSP has formed 268 Village Organizations, including 198 male (MVOs) and 70 female (WVOs) groups, along with 25 Local Support Organizations (LSOs), creating a strong institutional framework for community-led development.
Capacity-building efforts have reached 24,556 individuals through training programs, including 18,115 managerial trainees (11,092 men and 7,023 women) and 6,441 vocational trainees (3,622 men and 2,819 women). These initiatives have enhanced both leadership skills and livelihood opportunities across the district.
In infrastructure development, SRSP has completed 469 community projects with a total investment of PKR 204.77 million. These include 162 drinking water supply schemes, 63 communication projects, 30 irrigation schemes, 7 soil conservation initiatives, and 99 sanitation projects, among others, benefiting 62,246 households.
The microfinance program has disbursed PKR 132.39 million in microcredit to 11,095 beneficiaries, supporting small-scale enterprises and financial inclusion.
