Hangu

In Hangu district, SRSP has established a strong presence across all 19 union councils, implementing its community-driven development model to foster grassroots participation and sustainable growth. The organization has formed 518 Community Organizations, including 386 Male COs (MCOs) and 132 Female COs (WCOs), collectively representing 12,166 households. These groups serve as the foundation for local decision-making and collective action, though the district currently lacks formal Village Organizations (VOs) or Local Support Organizations (LSOs).

Capacity-building efforts in Hangu have reached 19,419 individuals through structured training programs. This includes 14,304 managerial trainees (8,797 men and 5,507 women) alongside 5,115 vocational trainees (2,133 men and 2,982 women). These initiatives equip community members with essential skills for leadership and income generation, with particular attention to women’s economic empowerment.

The infrastructure development portfolio in Hangu comprises 240 completed Community Physical Infrastructure (CPI) schemes. These interventions include 79 drinking water supply systems, 7 communication projects, 61 irrigation schemes, 6 soil conservation measures, and 74 sanitation initiatives. With an investment of PKR 92.85 million, these projects have improved living conditions for 49,185 households, addressing critical needs in water access, agriculture, and public health.

Financial inclusion efforts in the district have disbursed PKR 5.49 million in microcredit to 830 beneficiaries.
