The installation of the AI-enabled, solar-powered High Efficiency Irrigation System at ARI Takhtaband, Swat, is a step forward in advancing agriculture through smart and sustainable solutions.
By integrating drip irrigation with solar-powered pumping, the system significantly reduces water wastage while lowering energy costs for farmers. The use of AI-supported irrigation scheduling ensures that crops receive the right amount of water at the right time, improving productivity and crop health.
A significant milestone was achieved as the Secretary for Agriculture Department KP, along with the CEO SRSP, COO SRSP, representatives from the Oxford Policy Management (OPM), officials from the Agriculture Department KP and On-Farm Water Management (OFWM), inaugurated the smart irrigation system at ARI Takhtaband, Swat.
The system has been installed by SRSP in partnership with OPM, with financial assistance from @FCDO.
