Malakand

SRSP’s footprint in Malakand district spans all 28 union councils. The initiative has successfully nurtured 1,673 community-based organizations, with 1,024 male organizations and 649 female organizations actively engaging 41,351 households. These figures underscore the program’s effectiveness in fostering grassroots participation across diverse communities.

The institutional framework extends to 171 village-level entities, comprising 127 male and 44 female collectives, supported by 6 Local Support Organizations and 25 specialized Interest Groups. This network facilitates inclusive decision-making processes that reflect community priorities.

Human capital development has reached 16,039 residents through targeted interventions. Management training has equipped 11,872 individuals (7,484 men and 4,388 women) with leadership skills, while vocational programs have empowered 4,167 participants (3,097 men and 1,070 women) with practical competencies. The gender distribution highlights ongoing efforts to enhance women’s participation in skill-building initiatives.

Infrastructure development has seen the completion of 118 projects valued at PKR 129.11 million. These interventions include water supply schemes (29), communication infrastructure (21), irrigation systems (10), and sanitation facilities (31), collectively benefiting 27,696 households. While microfinance services remain to be introduced, the established physical and social infrastructure creates a solid foundation for future economic empowerment programs.
