In the Merged District Bajaur, SRSP has implemented its community-driven approach across 20 of 37 union councils, establishing a strong foundation for local development. The organization has formed 393 Community Organizations, that are Male COs (MCOs), representing 9,432 households. This network has been further strengthened through 24 Male Village Organizations (MVOs) and 2 Local Support Organizations (LSOs), creating a structured framework for community participation in development initiatives.
Capacity-building efforts have reached 1,531 individuals through targeted training programs. Managerial training has been provided to 896 participants (707 men and 189 women), while vocational skills training has benefited 635 individuals (594 men and 41 women). These programs aim to enhance both leadership capabilities and practical skills, though women’s participation remains limited in this conservative tribal context. Infrastructure development has seen the completion of 61 Community Physical Infrastructure schemes for PKR 59.2 million. These projects include 17 drinking water supply systems and 21 communication projects, among others, directly benefiting 12,712 households. The infrastructure work focuses on addressing fundamental needs while building community resilience in this challenging region.
