In Abbottabad district, Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP) has established a comprehensive presence across all 51 union councils, demonstrating its commitment to community-driven development. The organization has successfully formed 2,207 Community Organizations, comprising 1,401 male (MCOs) and 806 female (WCOs) groups, representing an impressive 52,151 households.
At the village level, SRSP has supported the formation of 156 Village Organizations, including 115 male (MVOs) and 41 female (WVOs) groups, along with 16 Local Support Organizations (LSOs). These institutions provide a strong foundation for collective decision-making and community-led development initiatives.
SRSP has delivered training to 29,617 individuals. This includes 21,888 managerial trainees (13,499 men and 8,389 women) and 7,729 vocational trainees (4,291 men and 3,438 women). These training programs have significantly enhanced both leadership capabilities and livelihood skills among community members.
In the infrastructure sector, SRSP has completed 382 community projects with a total investment of PKR 136.95 million. These projects include 172 drinking water supply schemes, 122 communication projects, 3 irrigation schemes, and 78 sanitation projects, among others, benefiting 52,517 households across the district.
The microfinance program has disbursed PKR 49.96 million in microcredit to 4,129 beneficiaries, supporting small businesses and entrepreneurial activities.
