The Community Investment Fund programme particularly benefits households that have never gained the trust of financial Institutions due to extreme poverty, low literacy rates and remote living conditions. The funds were made available by KP government, Australian government, PPAF and UNDP in the target districts of KP.
Progress Update of Activities
A network of 361 village banks have been established in 11 districts making financial services accessible to marginalized households.
Over 63,433 members (all of whom are women) have been benefitted through revolving seed capital with total disbursement of 880 million.
Third-party evaluations as well as survey results since the initiation of the programme have indicated visible improvement in household income numbers.
